My role: Design Strategist, User Researcher, and UX Design Lead
Client: Quicke
Problem: Quicke wanted to improve the user situation for farmers. Their brand promise is work smarter not harder and to keep this promise to their users they wanted to update their front loaders with new user friendly software. Myra Design was asked to run the project from start to end. Including; research, creation and implementation of the new software in the front loaders.
Solution: Q-companion is a digital solution that automatically stores all work data; such as weight or amount of bales in the cloud. With a digital screen and smart sensor technology, Q-companion is what smart farming is all about making farming easier, safer and more efficient. The system also includes an app to manage all the data in your smartphone.
Process: During the research farmers in three different markets in Europe were interviewed to learn more about their working situation and specific needs. The insights was a starting point for creation of digital tools and services and to make the interaction easy and efficient.
The fist mock up was tested in key markets by actual users. After feedback from the users changes were made until the final beta product was launched and tested in a big schale
Result:The Q-companion was launched at Agritechnica in Hanover 2017 and received massive attention for its innovation and design.
