Problem: Farmers need mobile solutions in order to make their work easier and more digital since they are constantly out in the field.
Solution: The Q-companion app is a mobile solution for managing data out on the field, right in the smartphone. The app is cloud based and provides easy access were ever you are, allowing the farmer to manage his office both from the phone out in the field and on a computer in the office. The data is transferred from the front loader to the app and then can be managed anywhere. The farmer ca also easily trace other data by manually put in the amount or time working on a specific project.
Process: We did a lot of research to understand the farmers needs in previous projects together with Quicke. One of the biggest insights from the research was the vast need of mobile solutions. The farmers spend most of their working time out in the field and have no access to computers or laptops. A lot of them kept trace of their data by simply taking nots with pen and paper, these nots they then put into the computer later in the evening when they came back to the house.
Result:The Q-companion was launched at Agritechnica in Hanover 2017 and received massive attention for its innovation and design.
